William EDERY

William is a French film and video game music composer.

He was born in Lyon, where he could learn and study the music theory and the practice of his instruments.

He started to learn the drums and the music theory at the age of 7 in a music school.

When he was 10, he passed the entry exam of the Maîtrise de l'Opéra de Lyon, where he learned the piano, the singing, the tap-dancing, etc. and where he could sing on the stage of the Lyon's Opera in several productions like Noah's Ark (B. Britten), The Knight of the Rose (R. Strauss), Wozzeck (A. Berg), etc.

Then, when he was 18, he enroled in university where he passed his Bachelor in Music & Musicology. At that time, he became a classical percussionist.

He's also graduated in the Master of Music Applied for Visual Arts in Lyon and Montréal (Québec, Canada) with honours.

Thanks to this education, he could deeply learn the music theory (composition, orchestration, music analysis, relation between music & motion pictures, etc.) which allows him to compose music from jazz style to orchestral music.
